Problem solved
The scratcher that saves your walls
Every detail here is tuned to one job: giving your cat a surface to shred that isn’t your home.
Takes the damage so your walls don’t
Polyester felt soaks up the shredding your cat was going to do anyway. Your paint, wallpaper and door frames stay intact.
A real spot to scratch
Cats don’t scratch to be bad — they do it to stretch, mark territory and shed claw sheaths. This gives them a legal target.
Installs in minutes
Peel the backing, press it on, smooth out the air. No tools, no mess, no drilling into the wall.
Blends in
Seven neutral colors — warm white, dark gray, light grey, khaki, black, brown, blue — so the mat disappears into the room.
How it works
Peel, stick, done
Wipe the surface clean, cut the mat to the length you need, peel the backing a few inches at a time, and press as you go. The adhesive grips firmly on painted walls, doors, mantels and couch frames. When you’re ready to move it, it peels off most painted walls cleanly — test a small corner first on textured paint or wallpaper.
- No nails, screws or drilling
- Cut to any length with regular scissors
- Removable on most painted walls
Where it goes
Wherever the claw marks already are
Doors cats sharpen on. Couch corners cats target. Mantels cats launch off of. Wall sections that have become “their spot.” Anywhere there’s a surface a cat already scratches, this mat covers it — and your home stops taking the hit.
- Doors and door frames
- Couch and chair corners
- Wall sections and mantels
- Any spot that’s become “their spot”
The size
Nearly 10 feet long. Trim to fit.
Each roll is 40 cm wide and 300 cm long — that’s 15.75 in × 118 in, or about 10 feet. Enough to cover a full door, wrap a couch corner, line a mantel edge, or cut up and spread across several spots. Scissors are all you need.
- 40 cm × 300 cm (15.75 in × 118 in)
- About 10 ft of coverage per roll

Frequently asked questions
Everything cat parents want to know about the Scratch Guard.
Will it peel off my paint?
On most standard painted walls it peels off cleanly. On textured paint, matte paint, wallpaper or raw wood, test a small corner first and leave it for a day. If it tugs, try sticking it on a smoother surface instead — a door, a baseboard, or a couch frame.
How do I cut it to size?
Regular household scissors or a sharp utility knife both work. The polyester felt cuts cleanly without fraying.
Will my cat actually use it instead of the wall?
Put it exactly where they’re already scratching. Cats mark territory with scent and scratch marks, so once the mat is in their chosen spot, it becomes the easier target. If they need extra convincing, rub a little catnip into the surface.
What’s it made of?
Polyester felt with a self-adhesive backing. No wood, no plastic sheeting, no chemical scents.
Can I stick it on a rounded couch corner?
Yes — the felt is thin and flexible enough to wrap around most couch and chair corners. Press firmly as you go so the adhesive bonds through the curve.
How many colors are there?
Seven: Dark Gray, Light Grey, Warm White, Khaki, Black, Brown and Blue. Pick the one closest to your wall or furniture color and the mat basically disappears.
